Kennels & Crates for home and travel:
Whippets will need a kennel no smaller than 32"x23"x24" (a "300" size) it is often recommended to go with 36"x24"26" ("400" size) as more room is never a bad thing.

Vari Kennels are usually priced better from pet retailers so Amazon may not be the best bet.

Feandrea Soft Side/Collapsible Crate
these are GREAT for travel as the fold flat and are easy to set up BUT the sides and door are cloth mesh so you need to teach your dog to behave nicely in these or they will get wrecked. RECOMMEND XL OR XXL depending on size of Whip.

this is a "400" and generally a perfect adult whippet size - STRONG RECOMMEND

I am not totally in love with wires, but if this is what you want this should be the right size - bigger is never a problem for an older crate trained dog - but do not go any smaller than this. Cover it with lots of blankets to make it a cozy den!
Rufflands are a solid once piece hard plastic kennel. They are engineered for maximum protection and have saved many dogs' lives in car accidents. You can see testimonials on the Ruffland website linked to the title on the left.
These kennels come in many configurations to fit appropriately into different vehicles and to allow additional door accesses. They are also able to be secured into a vehicle using their built in hardware pilot holes and proper rigging.

What is Taurine?
Taurine is an amino acid required for proper heart function. It is found naturally in meats, especially fish, shellfish and darker poultry meat. You can add it as a supplement to your dogs diet to help keep their heart strong.

If you know me at all you know I used to say stay away from cordless pet nail grinders but OMG DO I LOVE THIS THING! I don't use the plastic guide but the grinder itself is amazing and this is a STRONG RECOMMEND!

3% Hydrogen Peroxide can be used to induce vomiting in an emergency situation (ingestion of medications/toxins etc.) ALWAYS consult your veterinarian but having this on hand can be life saving in case of accidental ingestion.
